CrunchDay no.5

A few weeks ago, a friend asked if I would take some portraits of her for a website she was putting together. I was excited to get some practice, and also a little nervous. I haven’t shot portraits for quite a while, but it’s always more fun and relaxed with a friend. So, I agreed and we planned the shoot.

The location we decided on was a park that is flooded in the winter to create an ice skating rink. There’s a cute stone building, and I thought it would be easy to get a few different shots around that.

The weather was great… tromping around in snow and sunshine. The snow was a bit of a challenge, but I think we got some good photos! There were website-worthy ones, that could be used as a by-line type of shot, but also some fun laughs that I really enjoyed capturing.

For my first time back behind the lens for portraits, this was such a fun time and I think it was a success. Of course, it helps that she is naturally gorgeous!
